Director of Mentoring/Education
I currently serve as the Executive Director of XZone. It has been my privilege, since XZone's inception, to be a vision caster and program architect for the development of this wonderful 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our mission, to EMPOWER LIVES IN OUR COMMUNITY, is not just words, but daily actions shown through our staff, families, and those we serve. I look forward to the development of our next steps, including facilities and programs, as we continue to develop our mission of mentoring via sports, arts, and education. It is our hope to reach any & all students in our community.
Teenagers have taken up residence in every fiber of my heart and sharing life with them is such a joy. Here at XZone, I am the Academic Coordinator. I work to cultivate relationships with our students, families, and community, but I also place a heavy focus on the growth of each student's academics. It is important for me to be heavily invested in the student's academic well-being, keeping focused on student strengths and areas of need. I work to help mentors stay up-to-date on where their mentees need extra encouragement or areas where a student may need more accountability. It's a never ending blessing to get to celebrate in academic goals met as well as in everyday life occurrences.
Community Impact and Relations
My heart for teenagers and missions have been a passion for many years. As Director of Community Impact and Relations, I am excited to develop projects in the community that will impact not only those served, but also the teenagers who serve and other volunteers as well. When we genuinely love others first, we are all changed for the better. At XZone, we desire to see the lives of everyone who passes through our doors to be positively impacted for life! In addition, I look forward to developing relationships in the community to expose XZone and all it offers to churches, businesses and others who may want to be part of this life-changing mission to EMPOWER LIVES IN OUR COMMUNITY.
My first encounter with this amazing program was from a parent perspective. I needed a place for my 13 year old son and what I found was more than I could EVER imagine! I have been a part of the XZone family for the last 2 years and I am beyond blessed! Not only because I have the pleasure of watching the power of our mentors and the program but because I get to be apart of the team. I thank God for giving me this opportunity, each and every day.
Sports Park Manager
Being with XZone, I have seen how our programs impact people in a lot of positive ways. With a desire to make a difference, I accepted a position at XZone as the Volleyball Director. With over 20 years of experience as an Athletic Director and Coach at the high school and college level, I look forward to managing volleyball teams and leagues at XZone. My job is to ensure that both players and parents find the programs that best fit their needs while experiencing a faith-based, family atmosphere. Our coaching staff will mentor each player, on and off the court, as they grow in their relationships with teammates, friends, and grow as individuals.
My name is Tommy Nuckols. I am the current coach and manager of Virginia Breeze Baseball / Softball Organization.
